Louis Fratino
Die bunten Tage
Galerie Neu is pleased to announce “Die bunten Tage”, Louis Fratino’s first solo exhibition with the gallery, opening on April 29th. The New York based artist will be presenting new paintings and works on paper.
Louis Fratino makes paintings, drawings and sculptures from specific memory and art historical references. While drawing heavily on American and European Modernism, book illustration, and antiquity Fratino has developed a distinct visual language portraying the figure, interior, and landscape. Fratino considers the nuanced interactions of light with form, space, and surface as potential realms for discovery.
Louis Fratino (b. 1993, US) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, in 2015. He is a recipient of a Fulbright Research Fellowship in Painting, Berlin (2015-16).
